Personal Care Aides (PCA)
Personal Care Aides (PCA) provide assistance with personal hygiene, feeding and dressing and may perform other health related tasks for self-directed clients. They also provide nutritional and environmental support. PCA’s complete specialized training approved by NYS and are certified by the Department of Health. PCA’s provide services under the supervision of a nurse, and are registered and screened in the Home Care Registry. Our PCA’s also have specialized training in provision of Home and Community Support Services (HCSS).
Home Health Aides (HHA)
Home Health Aides (HHA) receive enhanced training to assist clients with more complex medical needs. They provide assistance with personal hygiene, feeding and dressing and may perform other health related tasks for self-directed clients. They also provide nutritional and environmental support. HHAs complete specialized training approved by NYS and are certified by the Department of Health. Home Health Aides provide services under the supervision of a nurse, and are registered and screened in the Home Care Registry. Our HHAs also have specialized training in provision of Home and Community Support Services (HCSS).
Homemakers
Homemakers are responsible for performing household activities to maintain an environment which is safe, clean, and promotes the physical and emotional well-being of the client. Homemaker services include but are not limited to: assistance with meal preparation, care and feeding of well children, shopping, light housekeeping, and preparation of household budgets.
Housekeepers
Housekeepers are individuals who provide assigned housekeeping duties to promote a clean, healthy environment. Housekeeping Services include but are not limited to: shopping, cleaning, and laundry.
Skilled Nursing Services (RN/LPN)
Skilled Nursing Services (RN/LPN) are provided, as indicated by physician’s medical orders, for clients requiring any level of nursing care. All nursing services are provided by Nurses in accordance with the New York State Nursing Practice Law and other applicable Standards of Practice, State/Federal Codes and Regulations.
New Frontiers nurses provide both private duty services and skilled visits. Nurses provide a variety of services including skilled care, coordination of services and supervision of paraprofessional staff.
Social Work Services (MSW)
Social Work Services (MSW) include one-on-one interaction between the Social Worker and the client and/or caregiver. The MSW assesses the psychosocial, financial and environment needs of each client and provides interventions that address each individuals unique needs. These services include counseling, short-term therapy and community resource planning. The MSW also assists with referrals to other community resources.
